Mike Huckabee
Mike Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas. Mike Huckabee is a Republican candidate for President in 2008.
What Ever Happened To Huckabee’s Announcement?
You know, I sure hope none of you bought into that Charisma magazine they pushed on us tonight. I have a feeling that we were all seriously duped this week. Mike Huckabee really didn’t tell us anything new, he didn’t make any major announcements or endorse any special candidates.
All we really got was Governor Huckabee helping Steve Strang do an infomercial for his magazine and communications company. Hardly what any of us were expecting, huh?
I like hearing from Governor Huckabee as much as the next guy, but we really learned nothing…
Except that Steve Strang is an idiot who can’t host a decent teleconference to save his life… but that’s not really important. Hopefully the new website at MikeHuckabee.com will make up for tonight’s chaos.
Let me add this though, at the end of the conference when Huckabee was throwing a pitch for people to subscribe to that Charisma magazine, he said that it was good not just for strong Christians, but good for everyone, regardless of any faith. I was somewhat relieved to hear that at the end because it was Mike Huckabee talking to non-Evangelicals and not saying anything that might be spun as him trying to convert them.
I really think he’s going to be focusing more on a secular PAC than a sectarian movement.
If I’m right, that will be a huge sigh of relief on my end because it means we’ll have a candidate in 2012 to beat Barack Obama.
