FOXBOROUGH (AP) — New England Patriots running back Fred Taylor seems set to face his former team after missing 10 games with an ankle injury. Taylor participated fully in practice yesterday for the first time since being sidelined. The Patriots play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who released Taylor after 11 seasons in which he became their top career rusher.

It was halftime and I made a plan. I decided the New England Patriots weren't going to lose, which they didn't, and that they deserved, well, a "Pat" on the back. Pun intended. The Pats beat the Bills for the 13th straight time, 17-10, yesterday in Buffalo. There hasn't been a lot of back-slapping of the Patriots from here at 100 Turnpike St. in North Andover since that fourth-and-2 play in Indy.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -- Turns out there's nothing wrong with Randy Moss or the New England Patriots that facing their perennial patsy, the Buffalo Bills, can't fix. Doesn't mean it was pretty. Many would argue that the New England Patriots’ slide began that fateful Sunday vs. the Indianapolis Colts when Bill Belichick decided to go for it on fourth-and-2 at the end of the game, but his biggest mistake was sending four players home from practice last week -- and alienating Randy Moss in the process.  

During his eight seasons with the Patriots, linebacker Mike Vrabel knew only meaningful December games that were played either to get his team into the playoffs or set it up for a postseason run. In his first season with the 3-9 Chiefs, Vrabel is finding out how the other half lives. His late-season games, including Sunday’s meeting with Buffalo at Arrowhead Stadium, aren’t for playoffs but pride.
