Star wide receiver Mike Williams has quit the Syracuse football program, head coach Doug Marrone announced Monday afternoon.
Speaking at his weekly press conference with local media, Marrone said Williams approached him earlier in the day and informed him of his decision.

It’s been a tough couple weeks for two of the nation’s top wide receiver prospects, as Minnesota’s Eric Decker and Syracuse’s Mike Williams are both out for the remainder of the season, although for different reasons.
