Miley Cyrus' Accused Stalker Was Saving for a Wedding Ring for Her

There are likely millions of men who want to marry 16-year-old Miley Cyrus, but, we're willing to bet most of them know it's a dream that will never come true. However, 53-year-old Mark McLeod was not one of those men -- he was allegedly saving up for a diamond ring to give the starlet, got arrested twice on her Georgia movie set, and told police he talked to her through secret messages sent through the TV, for starters. A grand jury decided not to indict the star's accused stalker on felony charges today, but it's not over for him yet.
Miley Cyrus' stalker will likely accept a plea bargain tomorrow in court. (Photo Agency)The courts apparently said there wasn't enough evidence to prove McLeod maliciously had it in for Miley, but the case is moving down to state court. He'll likely be charged with misdemeanor obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct, according to E! Online.
Even though there seems to be plenty of evidence against him, the guy's lawyer didn't buy it at first: "These charges can't stand on land and can't swim in the water," he said. "He didn't stalk anyone, he didn't threaten anyone. He acted strangely and that's why he's in jail."
Then, the lawyer changed his tune and said McLeod will likely accept a plea deal in court tomorrow, which means he'll have to be on 2 years of probation, get a mental health evaluation, leave the county, and never contact the Cyrus family again. Oh, and he can't use a computer for the next 24 months, either -- if the bargain is accepted by the judge. Guess he'll also have to tell all his friends he's not really engaged to the singer.
In other Cyrus courtroom drama, the man who yelled "Hey, it's Miley Cyrus, I'm going to f***ing kill you," to the star last June (with her body double standing right there), will be charged with felony terroristic threats and misdemeanor disorderly conduct. The same court that shot down the McLeod felony charges ruled against the yelling man, 22-year-old Army soldier Sean Christian Mathis.
