American Michael Phelps with the sensational victory at the finals of the World championship in Rome became the first man who swam that section in less than 50 seconds. Cavic led until almost the finish, but he came second by European record of 49,95 seconds.
Phelps "brough back" the world record with this victory in Rome, by swimming the section in 49,82 seconds.
