I was doing some online Christmas shopping today and came across the original Simon game from Milton Bradley. Wow, was that a walk down memory lane! I would have to say that Simon was one of my favorite games as a child. My friends and I played it for hours. I remember always getting that giddy, nervous feeling when we had a long game going and I didn't want to be the one to blow it. Even though we were supposed to be playing against each other, most of the time we played the Simon Game as a team to see how long we ... Read Full Story

As if it's not crappy enough being a Kansas City Royals tv analyst, Ryan Lefebvre has to deal with Milton Bradley almost flipping out on him. The Texas Rangers designated hitter, who led the AL with a .333 batting average and a hot temper heading into Thursday, heard himself being compared to crackhead-turned-bible-banger Josh Hamilton by Lefebvre on a TV in the Rangers clubhouse. Naturally, he resorted to anger and violence, storming out of the clubhouse and up four flights of stairs to find the a-hole that talked smack. After being restrained by GM Jon Daniels and skipper Ron Washington, Bradley return to the ... Read Full Story

Hot-tempered outfielder Milton Bradley and the Texas Rangers agreed in principle to a $5 million, one-year contract Sunday morning, including room for performance bonuses . He is expected to play in the outfield, but may also see some time as the club's designated hitter as he recovers from reconstructive knee surgery. Bradley, who helped spark the San Diego Padres resurgent second-half (before falling one game short of the playoffs) had a fairly tumultuous end of the season. During a confrontation in late September, he tore ligaments and damaged cartilage in his right knee when Pads manager Bud Black spun him to the ground in ... Read Full Story

Even in the most dire of situations, i.e. riots, war, Britney Spears outings, you're not supposed to harm or attempt to harm the press. (Paparazzi excluded) Unless you work in Russia, you're relatively safe to report or say whatever is on your mind. Nonetheless, press should always be cautious. And if you're writing or saying anything about Milton Bradley these days, you should probably have a bodyguard and/or pepperspray sitting at arms length when announcing a Texas Rangers' game these days. Milton Bradley is an emotional player. That emotion overflowed in the clubhouse after Wednesdays game in response to something Kansas City Royals television ... Read Full Story

Milton Bradley has been suspended for the remainder of the season after Chicago Cubs brass finally decided they were fed up with the constant drama. Technically speaking, the whiny outfielder was disciplined for "conduct detrimental to the team" after general manager Jim Hendry caught wind of a negative quote from Bradley in the Illinois' Arlington Daily Herald . Bradley has two long years remaining on a three-year, $30 million contract that he signed as a free agent last offseason, but Hendry says he's not sure if the relationship is salvageable. Who can blame him? Besides the fact that MB more or less sucks these ... Read Full Story

I had an uncomfortable experience over the Twitter the other night… A Cubs fan asked ME where I thought Milton Bradley would end up next season. I actually don’t know which part was more uncomfortable: interacting with a Cubs fan, or being asked a speculative baseball question usually reserved for the Peter Gammons’ and Ken Rosenthal’s of the world. *Cringe* I kid Cubs fans… it was definitely the latter. Anywho… I responded with my honest to...

Early rumors flying out of the winter GM meetings in Chicago are all over the board concerning free agents, trades, and declining profits. But the most consistent noise on Monday was surrounding Chicago Cubs outfielder Milton Bradley. Bradley? Consistent noise? Really? The Hot Stove has one rumor being reported by a number of sources and it appears to have some legs to it. Three teams would be involved, with three players changing uniforms. In...

Joe Posnanski, who I respect a lot -- and I know a lot of others here do as well -- yesterday named Vernon Wells and Milton Bradley as his choices for league Least Valuable Players. My favorite part of the article is here: Anyway, put it all together, and including those all-important intangibles, the 2009 LVP is Bradley. He was lousy on defense (minus-12 Dewan in right; minus-4.7 UZR) and not much on offense (99 OPS+ and missed 38 games...
