The U.S. Missile Defense Agency is soliciting information for an airborne infrared sensor system that will be able to track enemy ballistic missiles in boost phase at or near engine burnout. The RFI is needed to understand if existing aircraft and infrared sensors could be deployed in less than five years to support ballistic missile defense.
