A famine is a widespread scarcity of food that may apply to any faunal (Pertaining to animals.) species, which phenomenon is usually accompanied by regional malnutrition, starvation, epidemic, and increased mortality. Today there are famines and in the past as well. Matthew 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
