Bishop Tom E. Diamond, senior pastor of Abyssinia Missionary Baptist Church and a longtime civil rights leader in Jacksonville, died of a heart attack early Monday after being taken to a hospital from his home. He was 67 and had preached a sermon at his church Sunday.
Funeral arrangements were incomplete and will be announced by Toston La Fran’s Funeral Home.
