The International Rule of Women's Olympic Beach Volleyball

This evening the venerable Nicole, my sweetness, deadpanned on the vast differences between the attire worn by male Olympic beach volleyballers, and their female counterparts.

While the men have chosen to don shirts and forego their lenses, the women, as clearly verified by our president-thingy, keep it real by wearing little or nothing at all.

Of course, the spirit of beach volleyball is that you normally play it on the beach, where a general lack of clothing is the norm. So how come the guys aren't nipping it up? (Er, not that I care. I'm just saying, s'all.)

It also comes as no surprise that the women's beach volleyball events garner significantly higher ratings than that of the men's (Google it). As one commenter quipped, "Ahhh, perfectly toned female bodies glistening with sweat. What's wrong with that?"

You have to admit he makes a point.

And then the feminists. I'm not sure even they know what they're trying to achieve. I know most of them, the overzealous notwithstanding, are out for women's rights. That's a good thing, to be certain; but unless I'm mistaken, part of women's rights includes the power to choose. It's by choice that the women of the sport wear such nifty garb, and if that's the case, who the hell cares?

Thus:

1. If you're a president, no matter how retarded, married, or retarded and married, I suppose you should flaunt it. You know, for the country.
2. Isn't there, like, a war going on? Sends quite a message, dunnit?
3. Let the women be. Once again, it's called Beach Volleyball, not Holy Father Sin Passing. Amen.

It's really easy and if we all do it, our lives will be | | <~~ that much better. Come on, give it a try.
