According to a tipster for PreCentral.net it seems that Sprint plan to lower the price of the Palm Pre by $50, it is thought that this price reduction was brought on by the upcoming HTC Hero on Sprint which will set you back $179.99. Before the $50 price reduction the Pre would have set you back $199.99.

Points for being different, I guess. Sony Ericsson 's Xperia Pureness spruces up an otherwise ordinary phone with an extraordinary, clear LCD. We have no details other than its "talk, text, time" theme and what we can('t) see: the Xperia is a no-frills candybar with a transparent, monochrome LCD screen.
