Reflecting upon our short Supercar Weekend 2009 trip to Palm Beach Florida, there was one rather mind boggling aspect that really stuck out. This P40 monoblock design is a 1 piece forged wheel and is extremely lightweight. The wheels will accept OEM tire pressure monitoring devices and sizes can be cut to fit the OEM tires.     Yesterday March 11, 2009, in Newport Beach there was a super deadly crash involving 2 exotic cars and as a result TAPOUT founder Charles “Mask” Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene, a second injured, a third arrested for gross vehicular manslaughter and a fourth person detained by police. Despite having won the horsepower wars long ago, Mercedes-Benz had debuted yet another monstrously powerful car. To create the SL65 AMG Black Series, it has increased the output of its twin turbo 6.0-V12 from 612 horsepower to 650, thanks to larger turbochargers and improved intercooling. The torque figure remains unchanged at 737 lb-ft, but that’s because the 5-speed automatic transmission can handle no more, otherwise the engine could crank out 884 lb-ft. More impressive than the engine upgrade is the work AMG’s performance studio did on SL65’s chassis.
