HRE recently created a special rim exclusively for the Nissan GT-R R35 using their P40 Monoblock wheel design and will be made in their San Diego facility. This P40 monoblock design is a 1 piece forged wheel and is extremely lightweight. The wheels will accept OEM tire pressure monitoring devices and sizes can be cut to fit the OEM tires.

Despite having won the horsepower wars long ago, Mercedes-Benz had debuted yet another monstrously powerful car. To create the SL65 AMG Black Series, it has increased the output of its twin turbo 6.0-V12 from 612 horsepower to 650, thanks to larger turbochargers and improved intercooling. The torque figure remains unchanged at 737 lb-ft, but that’s because the 5-speed automatic transmission can handle no more, otherwise the engine could crank out 884 lb-ft.

A Japanese company Weds Sport has manufactured the first full carbon fiber wheel. This carbon fiber wheel was manufactured using a Dry Carbon Fiber technique and was unveiled at this years Tokyo Auto Salon show .
The weight of one wheel is 2.76kg (6.08 lbs)!
