(Founder Stories) Moot Reimagines The Image Board With A Fresh Canvas

By epanic on  From pricestech.com
When Christopher Poole (aka Moot) started 4chan , it was a very basic image board that attracted an incredibly active and vibrant community. But 4chan itself is not a pretty site. It is almost Craisglist-like in its barrenness. That is why Poole is re-imagining the image board with his latest startup, Canvas , which just launched in private beta a couple months ago. More accurately...Read Full Story

Moot’s Investors Revealed: Andreessen, Conway, Dixon, Schachter and Lerer

By agentbuilder on  From agentzoo.com
Last Friday, we wrote about 4chan founder Christopher “Moot” Poole’s stealthy startup, Canvas Networks, which just raised 5,000 in funding. Poole has revealed the names of the investors in the round, which are impressive to say the least. The investors are Ron Conway, Marc Andreessen, Chris Dixon, Kenneth Lerer, and Joshua Schachter. Lerer led the round. Poole is still remaining tight-lipped on the exact details of Canvas, but he did tell us that it is “a re-imagination of the online...Read Full Story
