A former Woodburn resident has alleged he was sexually abused by a local music teacher at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) in Woodburn. The alleged victim, who has called himself David Doe, is now 46 years old. He says the abuse took place at a Mormon church in Woodburn, between the ages of 11 and 13. So, yeah. I'm a Mormon. :) My rant below is my personal opinion and not to be taken as the official position of the LDS Church. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I believe the Book of Mormon is a volume of scripture and a companion to the Bible in talking about God's dealings with His other children on the earth...the ones who migrated to the Americas. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles visited the Dominican Republic, a country that he had visited 30 years earlier when there were just a handful of Mormons there.
