GERARD BUTLER could be brought back to star in the sequel to Spartan war epic 300, in which his character King Leonidas died.
That's what producer Mark Canton seems to be hinting in the latest update on the project.
Director Zack Snyder's 2007 film was based on a graphic novel by Frank Miller about the Battle of Thermopylae, in which Leonidas and his 300 Spartan soldiers fought to the death against millions of Persians led by Xerxes The Great in 480BC.
