I love the early color movies, from the 1940’s and 1950’s, where they did HUGE musical numbers, like with Esther Williams and her water ballet. What could be more entertaining than Carmen Miranda. Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers dance numbers were a BIG HIT with movie going audiences, but what about the Ross Sisters?? Never heard of them? Me either, but they provided one of the most entertaining dance numbers ever in their 1944 MGM movie “Broadway Rhythm.”
