Mr. Olympia

A community portal about Mr. Olympia with blogs, videos, and photos. According to Wikipedia.org: Mr. Olympia is an international bodybuilding competition which is held annually by the International Federation of BodyBuilders. Winning is considered to be the highest accolade in the professional bodybuilding field. The competition was created by Joe Weider to allow the Mr. Universe winners to continue competing and to earn money. The first Mr. Olympia was held on September 18, 1965 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, New York City.

I believe that people should do what they enjoy and if they like to follow bodybuilding, that is cool. That being said, it still boggles my mind that such a large amount of people watch bodybuilding contests, idolize professional bodybuilders, etc. I figured bodybuilding would die out back in the early 90's at the end of Arnold's popularity on the big screen, but it is still going strong. Patrick Arnold, former BALCO chemist and current subject of a federal steroid investigation, has received a lifetime ban from the Monte Carlo in Las Vegas for getting in a 5am fight with someone connected with the website Bodybuilding.com.
