Murphy Jensen said that becoming the director of tennis at a tennis resort was “the furthest thing on the planet on my radar” when he and his brother Luke were turning the tennis world on its head with their brand of rock-n-roll doubles tennis in the 1990s.

The Detroit News is reporting that Murphy Jensen owes about $1 million in federal and state taxes. Murphy Jensen filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection last December. From 1995–’98, he owed $156,007 in Georgia, and from 2000–’03 and 2005–’07, he owed $121,464 in California. Meanwhile, he didn’t pay $759,294 in federal income taxes from 1999–’07.

The Washington Kastles are ready to kick off the season. Their new stadium at the Wharf on Water Street in Southwest will be christened when Venus Williams faces off against the Kansas City Explorers on Tuesday night.
As expected, Coach Murphy Jensen told Yeas & Nays he's more than excited about this new season. "I'm overjoyed. I'm jumping out of my jock strap."
