My Daily Reflections

My Daily Reflections

INSPIRATION from the heart nourishes a tired soul... enriches the bruised spirit... and feeds the hungry desires. This is a collection of my personal reflection on the "scripture verses" that gives me inspiration.

With His Own Two Hands

He's my legacy, my heart and the truest love I will ever know.

Yesterday I went to First Grade Faculty Night at my son's school. They told us about the curriculum, showed us some of their work so far, and had a slideshow of the first three weeks of school.

Jake has the quintessential first grade teacher; as wonderful as I could have imagined. Here are my favorite take-aways:

  • She says, "Practice makes better."
  • The entire first grade begins each day with the song, With My Own Two Hands by Jack Johnson. I think it's a beautiful song with an inspiring message. Read the lyrics here.

I'm glad that this is the message that my son hears each morning.
