That loud “Oops!” that you hear is coming from MySpace.
MySpace seems to be updating their “Groups” feature. Groups gives users the ability to connect on a community message board and group page.
Currently, the service is down and displays the message “Groups are currently disabled for special maintenance. They will be available again shortly.”
Many MySpace users choose to keep their group affiliations hidden from the public due to privacy concerns.
Here’s where it gets interesting. As a result of the update, MySpace group information has re-appeared on some user profiles. Many users are now trying to figure out how to hide groups on MySpace.
Not to worry, just click “My Account” then go to “Miscellaneous” and un-check “Display Groups on Profile.”
So now you’re Groups are hidden again. I’m sure MySpace will have something interesting to say about this one.
