On Thursday, actress Ueno Juri (上野樹里) participated in the first Japanese commercial filmed within the virtual world Second Life.
The ad, which is for Otsuka Pharmaceutical’s health drink Fibe Mini, features an in-game avatar designed to resemble Ueno.
Ten people were selected via the Internet to serve as “extras” for the commercial.
The action took place on “Fibe Mini Island,” which will be launched in-game at the end of this month.

Details of Aragaki Yui ’s new music career were announced on Monday. On December 5, she will release her first album, titled “Sora.”
Then on December 21, she will give her first live performance in front of 10,000 fans at the Nippon Budokan.
Aragaki is only the third artist (and first female idol) to debut at the Nippon Budokan.

28-year-old Matsumoto Kota (松本康太) of comedy duo Regular (レギュラー) has fallen under suspicion of having sexual relations with a 16-year-old girl.
According to the newest issue of FRIDAY, the incident happened in August. Matsumoto went to karaoke in Shinjuku with some junior entertainers, and he took the girl to a love hotel afterwards. At the time, she said she was 22.

Hong Kong actor-turned-director Stephen Chow ’s latest fantasy film “CJ7″ finally set its screening date on January 31 of next year.
Film investor, the China Film Group Corporation, announced the decision, according to The Beijing News report.
Agent of the comedy star says that Stephen Chow is still busy editing the film, which he has been working on for about a year.
He explains that fantasy film is a new field for Chow and he has to put in a lot of time on the post-editing.

Actress Kudoh Youki is starring in a new movie titled “Haruyokoi,” directed by Saegusa Kenki.
It is her first lead role in a Japanese film since Imai Tadashi’s “Sensou to Seishun” in 1991.
Since then, she has been active mainly in the U.S., appearing in works such as “Snow Falling on Cedars.” She returned to Japan two years ago.
“Haruyokoi” is set in the Saga Prefecture during the 1980s. Kudoh Youki plays a woman living an ordinary life with her husband and son.

Taiwan pop diva Jolin Tsai held her first concert at the Danshui Fisherman’s Wharf in Taiwan on Sunday, after releasing her latest album “Agent J”, attracting more than 30,000 enthusiastic fans.

From an unnoficial source, the capsule that he’s in, Soyuz TMA10 has dropped in Kazakhstan, 400+ kilometers from it’s planned drop zone.
However, there are some radio conversation saying that all three cosmonauts in the ship is alive and fine.
Both of the cosmonaut (Dr Sheikh Muszaphar & Dr Faiz Khaleed ) will get their cosmonaut recognition by Moscow soon.
