In case you have been living under a rock, The Michigan State Spartans advanced to the Final Four and then moved on by beating the University of Connecticut (U U U UConn!). The game had its moments and overall was a very enjoyable game to watch. Michigan State showed great speed and quick hands along with a great game plan setup my Mr. Tom Izzo. Michigan State matched up pretty well with the Huskies especially down low where State had big guys such as Idong Ibok to help out on UConn’s big man in the middle Hassem Thabeet. The player of the game in ... Read Full Story

Kentucky Signee Darnell Dodson Many Kentucky Wildcats fans are still unfamiliar with who exactly Darnell Dodson is, and how he has come to be a Kentucky Wildcat. Well, Dodson originally signed with Pitt out of high school in the class of 2007, but then was informed by the NCAA that he was not academically eligible to play for Pitt. He then left and enrolled at Miami Dade Junior College so he could come back to Pitt in 2009. Then, he was informed that the Big East has a rule that prohibits non-qualifying players out of high school who have enrolled at a conference school ... Read Full Story

Kentucky Recruit DeMarcus Cousins One of the things that I’ve noticed, is outside of Kentucky (I live in Memphis), you don’t really see much press on Demarcus Cousins when discussions arise regarding the 2009 Kentucky Wildcats Men’s basketball recruiting class. There’s plenty of material on point guard prospect John Wall, but the remaining recruiting class articles I see discuss Coach John Calipari’s team as a whole without getting into much depth on each player other than what their Rivals, ESPN, or Scout.com rank is for each player. So, after writing a bit about Darnell Dodson yesterday, this article is an attempt to fill you ... Read Full Story

It’s the big dance, baby, and this is the grand finale. The NCAA Championship Game 2009 takes place tonight, and for the first and only time in this NCAA tournament, the Big East isn’t in the spotlight. The North Carolina Tar Heels lead the country in scoring margin (18.0), but the Michigan State Spartans are numero uno when it comes to rebound margin (9.6). Both coaches have been to the championship game in the past, so that should make this an exciting finale. The game is set to start at 8:21pm EDT at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. Remember, as we discussed a few ... Read Full Story

It's that time, time for some college basketball and here is a look at a few of the top conferences in the country. ACC (predicted order of finish and records)  North Carolina Tar Heels (26-4)  It says a lot when you win a championship, lose your top four contributors, and are still considered to be the favorite in one of the best conferences in the country.
