Click here to see the cheapest Green Day Concert Tickets for Boston in one place. It’s safe to say that Green Day as a band has successfully achieved cult status over the past two decades. They started out as a small California local band with a grassroots fan base, and with their catchy, and at times even controversial pop punk songs, they have built a tremendous and dedicated fan base over the years that spans across the entire world. They are likely the most influential punk/alternative band in the modern music scene. The Green Day trio originally formed in 1987 with the name Sweet ... Read Full Story

Kentucky Signee Darnell Dodson Many Kentucky Wildcats fans are still unfamiliar with who exactly Darnell Dodson is, and how he has come to be a Kentucky Wildcat. Well, Dodson originally signed with Pitt out of high school in the class of 2007, but then was informed by the NCAA that he was not academically eligible to play for Pitt. He then left and enrolled at Miami Dade Junior College so he could come back to Pitt in 2009. Then, he was informed that the Big East has a rule that prohibits non-qualifying players out of high school who have enrolled at a conference school ... Read Full Story

Predicted by many conference experts to be a top 5 team in the upcoming 2009-2010 season, Coach Boeheim now must rely on returning roster players and those of the 2009 men’s basketball recruiting class. 2009 Syracuse Orangemen Recruits #1 Syracuse Recruit – C – DaShonte Riley Ht: 6’11” Wt: 220lbs ESPN Rank: 58 Riley is a lean, athletic, long armed shot blocker that should develop in time to become a force in the middle for Coach Boeheim’s Orangemen. He has shown good ball handling ability from the high post along with a nice soft 15 ft. jumper to complement his ability to drive to ... Read Full Story

Kentucky Recruit DeMarcus Cousins One of the things that I’ve noticed, is outside of Kentucky (I live in Memphis), you don’t really see much press on Demarcus Cousins when discussions arise regarding the 2009 Kentucky Wildcats Men’s basketball recruiting class. There’s plenty of material on point guard prospect John Wall, but the remaining recruiting class articles I see discuss Coach John Calipari’s team as a whole without getting into much depth on each player other than what their Rivals, ESPN, or Scout.com rank is for each player. So, after writing a bit about Darnell Dodson yesterday, this article is an attempt to fill you ... Read Full Story

Arizona Wildcats Arizona finished the 2008-09 basketball season at 21-14, 9-9 in the PAC-10 and squeaked by to get into the 2009 NCAA tournament. New head coach, Sean Miller , has been able to salvage a decent 2009 recruiting class with getting small forward prospect, Solomon Hill to re-commit to Arizona. With Nic Wise returning for the 2009-10 season, Hill and Wise with give the Wildcats a hard-to-match 1-2 combo in the starting lineup next season. Coach Miller was also able to land big man, Kyryl Natyazhko and forward Kevin Parrom to round out his 2009 NCAA recruiting class for next season to try ... Read Full Story

Florida Gators Basketball Coach Billy Donovan Billy Donovan’s Gators have been trying to find themselves the past two seasons after winning back to back NCAA titles. With star guard Nick Calathas departing for Greece or the NBA, Allan Chaney transferring, DeShawn Painter reneging on his commitment to Florida and Alex Tyus now leaving the team, the Gators are going to have a long, hard road to make it back to the NCAA tournament next season. On the bright side of things, Donovan does have star, All American guard Kenny Boyton, 6’10” PF Erik Murphy, and former All Amercian Vernon Macklin transferring from Georgetown coming ... In case you have been living under a rock, The Michigan State Spartans advanced to the Final Four and then moved on by beating the University of Connecticut (U U U UConn!). The game had its moments and overall was a very enjoyable game to watch. Michigan State showed great speed and quick hands along with a great game plan setup my Mr. Tom Izzo. Michigan State matched up pretty well with the Huskies especially down low where State had big guys such as Idong Ibok to help out on UConn’s big man in the middle Hassem Thabeet. The player of the game in ... Read Full Story

Michigan State University Basketball Recruiting Class It was almost a story book finish for Tom Izzo’s 2008 -2009 Michigan State Spartans . By most standards, it was an entertaining and unexpected run to the title game of the NCAA Tournament. It marked the 30 th anniversary of the Magic Johnson led team that won it all. It was good drama and led to some of the highest viewing audiences of the tournament. Sadly, the Spartans saved their worst game for last and played nowhere near the level they had during the tournament run that saw them knock off two number 1 seeds, UConn and ... Read Full Story
