Spartans ready to rock Ford Field one more time
In case you have been living under a rock, The Michigan State Spartans advanced to the Final Four and then moved on by beating the University of Connecticut (U U U UConn!).
The game had its moments and overall was a very enjoyable game to watch. Michigan State showed great speed and quick hands along with a great game plan setup my Mr. Tom Izzo.
Michigan State matched up pretty well with the Huskies especially down low where State had big guys such as Idong Ibok to help out on UConn’s big man in the middle Hassem Thabeet.
The player of the game in my mind was Ramar Morgan. He was a big recruit and coming into the season was expected to be a main contributor on the floor for the Spartans. Lately he has not been a big factor yet last night he added 18 points, nine boards and five steals to the Spartan effort. MSU’s leading scorer was their point guard Kalin Lucas with 21 points and added five assists and two boards.
Don’t forget the effort by Darell Summers. This man can shoot, jump and slash with the best of them. Did you see that in your face dunk he had? The Huskies played well having four of the five starters score in double digits with Thabeet leading the way with 17.
UNC handled Nova with ease and now it will be UNC vs MSU for the National Title In Detroit. This will be a rematch of an early season game that faced the Spartans with the Tar Heels and it will even take place in the same venue, Ford Field. Now we will just have to wait for the Title game. Congratulations Michigan State, not only is this big for Spartan fans but for the entire state of Michigan, Sparty On!
