The main trouble with this table is that you have to lift the building surface in order to reach the legos inside. This means that your child will have to dump the legos into something else (or on the floor) if he wants to build on top of the table. And he will have to move the top in order to put legos away, even if he wants to leave some fixed structure on the table. Lego tables with bags or pull-out tubs just work better.
