Nadia Petrova Out With Gastritis

Nadia Petrova has been forced out of her 1st round match at the Qatar Total Open with Gastritis. Petrova was trailing Anabel Medina Garrigues 6-2 1-2 at the time.

12th seed Shahar Peer had no trouble defeating Andreja Klepac 6-3 6-4.

14th seed Amelie Mauresmo was also a straight sets winner, defeating Sabine Lisicki 7-6 6-3.

Other seeds to win today were Sybille Bammer and Agnieszka Radwanska.
