The Penguins just announced that they signed defenseman Andrew Hutchinson to a one-year, two-way contract (that will pay him $500,000 at the NHL level). He's coming from Dallas' AHL affiliate the Texas Stars (and it doesn't appear that he played last season), so this will be another player to fill the void in WB / S lineup.Read Full Story
The Penguins just reported on their webpage that they signed WB / S Baby Pens defenseman Steve Wagner to a one-year, two-way contract that will pay him $500,000 at the NHL level. Wagner was acquired from St. Louis in exchange for Nate Guenin back in February of this year.Read Full Story

The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed defenseman Corey Potter to a one-year contract, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.
The deal is for the 2010-11 season and is a two-way contract that will pay Potter $500,000 at the NHL level.
Potter, 26, has played in eight career NHL games with the New York Rangers, recording two points (1G-1A).
