Guenin appeared in the Penguins' past two games recording no points and was a minus-2. In 15 AHL games this season, he has also failed to record a point.

The Penguins set their roster at 21 players today and forwards Paul Bissonnette, Ryan Bayda and Chris Conner and defensemen Nate Guenin (above) and Deryk Engelland are not on it. All five were placed on waivers with the hopes of demoting them to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL.
Defenseman, Martin Skoula, signed earlier today, will be on the season-opening roster as the No. 7 defenseman.
