Vikings restricted free agent fullback, Naufahu Tahi, received a tender from the Vikings in the amount of $1.01 million. That offer was out-done significantly by the Bengals as they offered Tahi $1.4 million. Because of the tender placed on Tahi, the Vikings have the right to match any offer he recieves. They have seven days to do so. Tahi, known more for his blocking, only has 15 rushing yards and 44 receiving yards in his 4 year career. He also has one fumble and no touchdowns. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that now with the team losing out on Vikings FB Naufahu Tahi, the team may turn their thoughts back towards former Cowboys safety Roy Williams. The former safety worked out on March 19th, and they liked what they saw from him. The St.Paul Pioneer reports that the Vikings have matched the offer sheet for FB Naufahu Tahi. Here is the report: The Vikings have decided to match the $1.4 million offer sheet fullback Naufahu Tahi received from Cincinnati, keeping Tahi in Minnesota. Tahi took over the lead fullback role last season for the Vikings, who initially made Tahi the low tender offer as a restricted free agent.
