It's been odd for me to write about my buddy Al the past couple weeks. Up until a couple of weeks ago Graham Nash was the only member of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young that I had little or no appreciation for the solo work of. That was until I discovered his 1971 masterpiece 'Songs For Beginners'. MUSIC NEWS - After several release date change s, Neil Young's anticipated " Archives " collection will finally be releasing on June 2, according to Neil's manager Elliot Roberts (from his March 21 SXSW announcement). The June 2 release date for " Archives " was made during a SXSW panel discussion with Roberts and Larry Johnson, director of Young's Shakey Films, who played samples of material from the anthology set. MUSIC NEWS - Some additional details Neil Young 's often delayed The Archives Vol. 1 1963-1972 box set have been announced. According to a newly-released video clip (see below), the box set, on 10-disc DVD or Blu-Ray , with a February 24, 2009 release date, will have 128 audio tracks, including 43 unreleased and 13 of which have never been heard previously.
