 Lou Reed is going to the Winter Olympics. And wild it would be pretty hilarious to see the former Velvet Underground participate in the luge, it is not for any athletic reason. Reed has just been added to the lineup toasting Neil Young at this year's 2010 Cultural Olympiad, an arts event which runs in the days before, during and after the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games. The Neil Young Project will also include an impressing array of artists...  

While watching a documentary on Neil Young, on one of the local PBS stations, called Neil Young: Don’t Be Denied, I learned something I never new about the man, and considering the fact that I consider myself a music afficionado, that’s something. Right in the middle of telling about the changes he has gone through, from playing with Crosby, Stills, and Nash to Crazy Horse, to working with Devo (are we not men?), the man starts talking about...

Director Jim Jarmusch loves Neil Young. The venerable singer/songwriter masterfully scored Jarmusch's Dead Man and with the band Crazy Horse was the object of the filmmaker's follow-up, the tour documentary Year of the Horse. Jarmusch also seems to love the New York edition of the All Tomorrows Parties music festival which, for the past couple years, has taken place in the Catskills each September.
