This retired Republican Speaker of the House (95-99) came up through the ranks of academia to become a focal point for Republican solidarity and an outspoken voice against the Clinton administration. Gingrich Keynote Speaker at Target Markets
The Target Markets Program Administrators Association (TMPAA) announced that Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, author of the "Contract with America," and Time magazine’s 1995 Man of the Year, will be providing the keynote address at the group’s Eighth Annual Program Summit in Tempe, Ariz this October.“Newt Gingrich is one of the most recognizable names in U.S. politics,” said Greg Thompson, TMPAA Association president. “We are very excited to have Mr. Gingrich as our keynote speaker to share any last minute thoughts on the November election, and the possible implications for the insurance industry.”
The keynote address by Gingrich is sponsored by TMPAA carrier member, Zurich North America Commercial. Jino Masone, chief marketing officer - Programs Business, stated, “We believe that the TMPAA continues to play an increasingly important role in the program business segment of the insurance industry. Zurich is very pleased to support Target Markets by sponsoring a speaker who has played an important role in U.S. political history."
The Eighth Annual TMPAA Summit is scheduled Oct. 13-15. In addition to Gingrich, decision makers from over 45 program carriers will be presenting their program strategies and appetites and meeting with attendees to discuss program business opportunities. The Association also plans an M&A panel discussion, and program-specific workshops addressing topics chosen by member agencies.
