So I'm going off topic here but I figure this has to do with the ladies too. Why does everyone hate Nickelback? I’m not trying to jump on all the media hype on how cool it is to diss them right now and I’m not some die-hard fan trying to defend them.  

It can't be easy for Nickelback. Now that the Black Eyed Peas are on hiatus, Creed is long since broken up, and Limp Bizkit nowhere near the cultural radar, it falls to the Canadian soft-hard rockers to carry the mantel of world's most-easily-hated-on​ band.

An excerpt from Rolling Stone‘s January 2012 issue’s cover story (to be released 19 January) has tongues wagging across the Internet today, as The Black Key‘s Patrick Carney took what can only be described as a devastatingly large swipe at Nickelback.  

He is expected to make a full recovery, but the delay has prompted a massive re-routing of the quartet’s tour behind last August’s I’m with You, their first album with guitarist Josh Klinghoffer filling in for once-again departed John Frusciante.
