(Photo from RadiusTWC)What do Ryan Gosling and Justin Bieber have in common (besides being charming, of course)? They both got booed this week. Well, in the case of Gosling, he didn't get booed directly. It was his movie, Only God Forgives, that received the negative reception at Cannes.
The movie reunites Gosling with director Nicolas Winding Refn. Since they made movie magic with Drive, you would think that they could do it again. Well, the audience at the Cannes Film Festival thought differently. Vulture reports that after screening the ultra-violent movie that included Gosling pulling a dude down a hallway by his upper jaw and other cringe-worthy torture scenes, the audience booed. That doesn't seem to bode well for the "Hey girl" hunk.
However, there is a winner amidst all this scrutiny. The audience at Cannes responded well to Kristin Scott Thomas's "mother from hell" — because we all know that people love a nasty leading lady.
