Desperate Housewives Season Premiere ReCap 9/27/09

After waiting several months to see who Mike ended up marrying on Desperate Housewives – the season premiere finally arrived.  We finally got to see which lucky lady married Mike – Susan or Katherine.

Susan was the winner!!  But not before we got to see a flashback of Mike breaking up with Katherine and Katherine receiving the delivery of Susan’s wedding dress and wearing it when Susan went to pick it up.  Katherine later goes to the church just before the wedding begins and threatens to create a scene unless Susan makes a public apology at the wedding for taking Mike away from Katherine.  Susan locked Katherine in the closet to avoid a scene.  Katherine breaks out of the closet and tries to make a scene but is stopped by Mike.  Susan made a public apology at the wedding to Katherine.

Carlos’ niece, Anna, is living with Gabbie, Carlos and the girls.  Much to Gabbie’s dismay since Anna is a teenager and acting out.  Anna went to a club without Gabbie’s permission and Gabbie finds her at the club by making an announcement on the microphone and threatening the other teens that she will call the cops if they don’t find her niece.  Gabbie then shows Anna that she cares about her by signing the papers to be Anna’s official guardian.

Lanette and Tom find out they are going to have another child  twins. Lanette is very upset with the pregancy and tells Tom that she doesn’t love the babies. 

Andrea (Drea de Matteo), Jeff Nordling and their son, Danny, are the newest neighbors on Wisteria Lane. 

One of the funniest moments of the show was when Lanette meets a pregnant woman at the doctors office.  Lanette decides to be honest and tells the woman exactly how it is once you have children.   She told the woman that your children will hate you and steal from your purse and for the rest of your life there will be so many moments that you will feel lonely…..but you will never be alone. 

Bri and Carl are about to embark on an affair but Bri is making it very difficult for the “affair” to be consummated – leaving Carl frustrated.  He ends up telling Bri that she doesn’t really want the affair and breaks it off with her.  Bri arranges for her and Carl to meet at a hotel.

The show ends with Julie being strangled.  It appears that the person who strangled her is the new neighbor Danny.

I was not disappointed with the season premiere of Desperate Housewives – once again – I am hooked for another season!!
