Nintendo Wii Game Reviews
For Nintendo Wii fans to post game reviews - whcih games rocked, which games should we skip.
My personal review of Wii Fit.
I’m not sure how many people are obsessed with Wii … which according to Nintendo.com is not just a gaming consol. “…it’s a reason to get together with your friends and family and play today’s hottest games.”
Although that may be true for most games, at our house we all enjoy Mario Kart, but for the most part I use our Wii Fit alone. It’s nice to weight the kids and have them participate, but quite honestly they would rather being swinging the controller while playing baseball or acting as if they are throwing a bowling ball by playing Wii Sports. In my opinion, the Wii Fit is perfect for men and women looking to get their exercise routine off the ground. It’s a great starting point for your weight loss journey.
So if you are completely unaware as to what the Wii Fit is all about, let me introduce the two of you. The Wii Balance Board is your friend, no serious… once you inject the Wii Fit CD you’ll soon see the Wii Balance Board come to life onscreen. He/she is your buddy, your motivator, the little nagging voice in your ear to remind you that you missed a workout or you’ve gained/lost some weight. All in all it’s encouraging.
So first thing is to create your profile from your existing Mii character you should already be using via the main Wii console. You’ll add your height and then get measured for your BMI percentage (a measure of body fat based on height and weight). This is done by stepping on the Wii Balance Board to get weighted. Every time you do a “body test”, which is recommended to do every day, your measurements get recorded.
Lets stop for one sec and address a question I had, and I’m sure many ladies will also have… is there any way to hide my weight? The answer… YES! You can make your profile password protected. So if your entire family decided to use the Wii Fit, nobody will be able to see your personal results.
Ok, the basic principle behind the Wii Fit is balance. There are four categories of games/exercises to choose from and keeping your center of balance is essential in order to excel and earn ranking within each category. The categories are: Strength Training, Aerobics, Yoga and Balance Games. Exercises such as Half-Moon pose, Torso Twists, Soccer Heading and Super Hula Hoop are among my favorites.
For most games/exercises you can pick a virtual trainer, man or woman. They are here to demonstrate the proper form of the exercise, motivate you throughout the duration of the exercise and state if you are unbalanced and provide helpful tips.
In addition to the above, the time you spend “exercising” is logged into a piggy bank. As you increase the amount of time you use the Wii Fit, more games or advanced modes become available.
That’s the gist of it, but now to the main question… would I recommend the Wii Fit? I think I would recommend it to certain people. I mean if you’re already in shape by going to a gym regularly, then no… why waste your money. If you can’t stand to be indoors and would rather run outside or ride your bike, then don’t buy it. But if you’re like me and just need something to entice you to get moving, then the Wii Fit is a perfect option. You can do it before everyone gets up, or after the kids are in bed. You can do a few exercises in the middle of sorting out laundry or preparing dinner. It’s easy to find some time here or there to fit it into your daily schedule. Will it provide you with enough movement to loose 50 lbs? ummm… probably not.
Are there any negatives about the product? Well honestly I’d have to say my biggest pet peeve is that until you do each exercise you have to skim though the demo or listen to the trainer a bit longer. But, this seems to get reduced the more you are actively using the system. But, there are still areas I would rather skip through faster and just go straight to the exercise.
Overall I’d say I am pleased with my Wii Fit. We have had it for 90 days now in our house and compared to the other Wii games that we have purchased for the family; I am the more active user of the Wii Fit. My husband may play it from time to time, but he grew up on video games, unlike me, and prefers other games such as Super Mario Galaxy.
I hope my article helps anyone who was unsure about making the purchase. Please feel free to leave a comment if you have other view points.

Hello. Im posting this info to show gamers how they can download Wii games right on their computer. We get a few emails each week about this so I hope it helps out some Wii fans out there!
For Wii owners that like to try new games, there's no better feature than being able to download Wii games. You don't have to worry about forking over some cash each time you want to try out a new game - you just have to fire up your computer.
First, open up your favorite search engine and punch in "free Wii game downloads". Many have tried this (us included!). You will find free downloads from file sharers but you will be taking a gamble on sharing whatever viruses theyve picked up along the way. Its kinda like sleepin around without using a condom, lmao... it really is though if you think about it. Anyway youll find out that any website that comes up offering free downloads will end up being a waste of time.
Anytime you try to use a website like this you run the risk of infecting your computer with a virus. A lot of the files that get uploaded to these websites have or are viruses, or some other type of infection that can harm your computer. You're always "rolling the dice" when you try to download something from these type of sites.
It isn't only Wii games that you download from these websites - there are also movies, TV shows and other media files that you can download. It's impressive to see the selection that they offer.
Once you are a member, you are a member for life. All it takes is you logging in and you can then download as many games as you want.
Once you are a member you will also have access to the software that you use to be able to play the games on your Wii. You will need to spend about 10 minutes setting everything and then you're all set to go.
There are a few sites that charge by the download.... this so that they can pull out a few extra bucks out of customers. Avoid these websites since the better Wii downloads sites will only charge the one-time fee for unlimited access.
By downloading Wii games you can save a lot of money and build up a huge library of games for your system. If you're someone who likes to try out new games then it's a great option to have. Just be careful though - it's easy to get addicted!
Below im recommending a site thats offers the best download service available. So check it out and have a great day!
