Florida Teens too Pretty to Fly?
Will the day come when all models, cheerleaders, actresses, and even strippers are asked to take the train instead of the plane? What if you're just a pretty girl (in your mind) trying to get from one destination to another? Well, now we think we've heard it all. A pair of 18-year-old women from Florida claim they were mistreated on a recent flight from Tampa to Los Angeles because they were too pretty. Nisreen Swedberg and Sarah Williams argue that the Southwest Airlines flight crew was rude to them before they even left Florida airspace. Hmmmm...didn't Southwest have an "official" dress code in place a few months back when they told several women that they were not dressed correctly to fly on their planes? Anyhow, the two Florida women went on to say that they were singled out on this particular flight. Swedberg claims that when she asked a flight attendant for a bottle of water, she was told she'd have to wait. When water was served to other passengers, Swedberg claims she was skipped. Williams claims that she went to use the restroom and a passenger was in there for some 15 minutes, leading her to knock on the door. When the gentleman emerged, he reportedly yelled a profanity at her. Williams says she yelled back at him, but the flight attendant only questioned her about the verbal exchange. Williams said that she believes she and her friend were singled out because they were decent-looking girls. "I mean, nobody else on the plane looked like us except us," she commented. Hmmm... We're guessing that they probably were the only two that looked like them because they are them...but anyhow. Meantime, the airline claims that the women were disruptive and that the proper actions were taken, including the two being escorted off the plane when it landed in L.A. by four uniformed police officers. The two were questioned by the FBI and released. The duo added that they've been banned from flying Southwest for life. A Southwest spokeswoman says that is not true; the two are not banned from flying the airline for life. Hmmm... somehow, somewhere we don't think we've heard or seen the last of Ms. Swedberg and Ms. Williams. So what do you think?
