It definitely works as advertised as this is the second one I have purchased (plus I got another as a spare). The first one lasted until it met with thehardwood floor from about 3 feet up. The only thing that's not too great is that it scratches kind of easily if you keep it in a case a lot (at least it does in mine). But I use it for work so I guess it's understandable.
