Should Sharia law be allowed as a subset to Western Jurisprudence?
There are those in the United States of America and Europe who argue that to be tolerant toward all religions, Sharia law should be allowed as a subset to Western Jurisprudence. Would opening the door to Islam (Sharia law) allow the fanatics to demand more? Once a foothold is gained as in Europe, the floodgates are opened and the torrential waters engulf everything in sight. There is a direct correlation between Islamic population increases and demands for Sharia law. Look at the Islamic demands in Britain or what happened in Sudan. Even in this country (USA), there is a debate about allowing liquor and dogs in taxis, driven by Muslims.
Allowing Sharia law to take root in this Country (USA) would be like allowing a noxious weed like spurge, to take over a lawn. Once it gets into the turf, all that can be done, is to keep it at bay.
