Hillary-friend Norman Hsu sentenced to 24 Years for Democrat Fundraising Fraud
Just handed down by a Federal Judge in California...According to the WSJ, Democrat Fundraiser Norman Hsu was sentenced to 24 years in Federal Prison today, for "illegally funneling tens of thousands of dollars to U.S. political candidates and for his role in a Ponzi scheme."
It is estimated that the Hsu's scheme bilked investors out of more than $20 million, out of which he made substantial donations to Democrat officials and entities.
Hsu shuffled more than $850,000 to Hillary Clinton's campaign for president. He became known for having pressured Chinese Restaurant cooks here in the United States illegally to sign their names as donors to Clinton's campaign, even though the funds came from other already maxed out donors and other mostly foreign sources.
In return Clinton praised Hsu saying in a voice message on his machine:
"What am I going to do with you, Norman? You are working so hard for me," Mrs. Clinton said. "I just don't even know what to say anymore. I've never seen anybody who has been more loyal and more effective and really just having greater success supporting someone than you."
Hsu fled West from NYC on an Amtrak train, after his Ponzi scheme was uncovered by Fed authorities. He was discovered at a train stop in Colorado by police, crawled up in a ball between a couple seats on the Amtrak, wimpering and appearing delirious. But Hillary was not the only "Friend of Norman's." According to The Smoking Gun blog, Dec. 31, 2008, "Obama and the Ponzi Scheme":
Hsu co-hosted a 2005 California fundraiser for Obama's political action committee and introduced the Illinois Democrat to Marc Gorenberg, a Silicon Valley venture capitalist who later joined the Obama campaign's national finance committee.Senator Robert Casey of Pennsylvania, a Democrat, was a recipient of $4,200 in donations from Hsu. Though some evidence indicated that "cooks" and other Chinese residents of PA may have signed for donations to Casey on behalf of Hsu and his associates. (Source: PAWaterCooler.com)
