Some folks call historic Rogers, Arkansas an impoverished, neglected, and otherwise disadvantaged residential and commercial area of Northwest Arkansas, troubled by a disproportionately large amount of crime and hunger. We wish we could disagree more. We think this picture show a different story about the town called Rogers. Here's a photo of an Enterprise located in the historic downtown Rogers business district that is creating a positive image of the community of Rogers. This photo... Read Full Story

Arkansas and East Carolina are set to meet in the Liberty Bowl on Jan. 2, a game Razorbacks coach Bobby Petrino knows well. Bowl officials on Sunday confirmed that Arkansas will be the Southeastern Conference team playing two-time Conference USA champ East Carolina. It is a return to the postseason for the Razorbacks (7-5), who lost to Missouri in the Cotton Bowl in January 2008 and missed out on a bowl in Petrino's first season when they went 5-7. Petrino coached Louisville in the 2004... Read Full Story
There are a couple of events that I try to attend on a regular basis, because I get validation for my “feelings” about the market gleaned from my own business and from anecdotal evidence from other realtors. It’s “my homework” so I can stay apprised of trends in the market (in addition to the data I pull from the NW Arkansas MLS) and the effects of the economy on our area. One event is the quarterly Skyline breakfast that Arvest bank sponsors for realtors, developers, builders and others in... Read Full Story

No, I'm not talking about foreclosure sales that are propping up sales and dragging down prices (and banks and real estate agents). I'm talking about homes for sale by people who keep making their payments on time.
According to the latest stats from the locals who compile stats about Northwest Arkansas real estate, the... Read Full Story

Ryan Mallett broke Arkansas' single-season passing record, and the Razorbacks beat Troy 56-20 Saturday night. Mallett threw for 405 yards, bringing his season total to 2,882. Mallett threw five touchdown passes, all to different receivers. Troy (7-3) had its seven-game winning streak snapped. The crowd... Read Full Story
Our 2010 New Year's Resolution is to embarass the @!#% out of the City of Rogers into cleaning up our very own slums, sometimes called the "Historic Downtown Rogers Business District." It seems the only thing growing around here is our slums. Which reminds me, why is the City of Rogers allowing that business located at 401 East Oak Street to let an abandoned and vandalized green Lincoln Continental sit along side the road for months. Now that says "Welcome to Rogers" like no other ad can... Read Full Story
