According to ProFootballTalk.com, recently terminated Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis had a secret visit and meeting with the Cleveland Browns this past weekend. Since the press conference held by Notre Dame’s Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick last Monday announcing the departure of Charlie Weis, the entire Notre Dame fan base has been on the edge of their seat, constantly checking the internet and ESPN, to see if any head way has been made in the search for the next head coach of the football program. UConn football coach Randy Edsall may not be the front-runner, but it's fairly clear he is a candidate for the vacant head coaching position at Notre Dame. Edsall could meet with Notre Dame Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick as early as today, a source close to the situation said Monday.
