Allow me to present to you a slice of inspiration that forms part of our credibility as a pro-active online business...

"Every successful OBA Business Owner understands that his or her OBA business is also a part of another OBA business that belongs to another OBA Business Owner. That understanding forms the foundation upon which Teamwork can be built. Such Teamwork makes it possible for committed and focused Business Owners to work together for their mutual benefit and for the benefit of those people who rely on them for answers and assistance.

Consequently, to become a VIP Business Owner, you must understand that your OBA business is also a part of another OBA business that belongs to another OBA Business Owner and conduct your business activities in a spirit of cooperation and respect that is conducive to successful Teamwork between yourself and those VIP Business Owners who own a business that your business is a part of."

Now isn't that something you would be proud to be a part of... I know I am and I can feel the goosebumps every time I think of how Online Business Alliance has enriched my life and the lives of many of my OBA friends and partners.

It's not just a business, it's a way of life that will see all of the co-owners be successful... why don't you join us?

Limbering up

Recession.

It happens. Even when you plan well, sometimes, things beyond your control hit you when you least need them, and nothing can really prepare you for it.

Background.

I’ve been working freelance now for nearly 15 years in IT, and as an employee for about 10 years before that. I have a good background and reputation in what I do, and make a resonable living at it ( read: made a reasonable living..).

when I was younger I had the great ambition to rise to the top of a corporate organisation. I was an idealist, and wanted to change the worl d, as well as run a sucessful company. However, as I became more experienced, I found that my views and beliefs, didn’t really match up with the corporate world, so my amibitions became somewhat diverted. I really didn’t enjoy the politics, the daily grind, the time wasters and the nay-sayers.

I also came to realise that I didn’t much like most of the people at the higher levels of the organisations. Too much hot air, too many talking shops, too many ego’s, the backbiting and the stupidly arrogant.

“But that’s the real world” I hear you say.

Yep, it is, and the only way I could see of freeing myself from the daily ‘education’ was to go freeleance. This allowed me to at least step away form the daily bunfight/politics/gossip and focus the job in hand – getting things done !

So, I’ve been “getting things done” pretty well for quite a while, and then the company I’m working for goes bust overnight leaving me with only a small amount of savings, a large unpaid bill, and an even larger headache – The market is dead, the economy is shrinking and the work has dried up. Oh dear…
