Often as we journey through this life alone, we find we are mired in a fog of doubt and confusion. We wonder which direction to take, if we have the where withal to get us to the nearest shore of peace, tranquility and confidence in our lives.
Often we are filled with thoughts of what should have, might have, or could have been, if we had only chosen a different direction at the crossroads that brought us to this place.

We find distractions of every sort, so that we do not have to face this moment head on. We feel weak, ineffectual in our lives, even if only for a moment. But hear me and KNOW this! Before birth, YOU chose this path. YOU promised to walk it strong, straight and true in order to teach others and lead them to a new and glorious day filled with light, hope and determination for a brighter more beautiful future! It is my hope that I can help shed light in some of the dark places of confusion and misunderstanding so that we all may stay ON THE PATH TO UNDERSTANDING.

Religion and social pressure are two sides of the same coin. Religion gives meaning to our lives, shapes our actions – which means that people who let their lives be shaped by other pressures than our own, are by definition strange. Hard to deal with. This comes out, in the USA, in people pretending they’re Christian when really they are not. This results in Christians feeling more people are ‘like them’ than is truly the case. Even children… In the Netherlands, when I was growing up, being religious was taboo for educated people – pretty much the way NOT believing is taboo for many ... Read Full Story

Image by Pink Sherbet Photography via Flickr The main goal of this blog is to teach small business owners working from home and college students alike the art of living balanced lives. Personally, I define living balanced as being happy with progress and continuing personal growth without limiting or becoming obsessed with professional growth. A balanced person is automatically a true Renaissance man or woman: art, history, literature, science, and mathematics are an important part of life on a daily basis, though not necessarily in traditional forms. Balancing a checkbook counts as math, for example, and reading the news will suffice for historic value. ... Read Full Story

Hello. Who are you? The material stuff you think you own, is that you? Your socially educated and preserved knowledge, that is you? The precious memories of moments spent with friends and family. Is that you? Are you spaced out on universal love, the all and everything, and are - surprise surprise - the universe itself? Or are you just your body? Are those the nicely selected ingredients to your self-view, or do those things rather own you, especially when you happen to be out of luck, out of control of the course of your life? Do your genes own you? Lets examine these ... Read Full Story

Remember always that you are just a visitor here, a traveler passing through. your stay is but short and the moment of your departure unknown. None can live without toil and a craft that provides your needs is a blessing indeed. But if you toil without rest, fatigue and wearness will overtake you, and you will denied the joy that comes from labour's end. Speak quietly and kindly and be not forward with either opinions or advice. If you talk much, this will make you deaf to what others say, and you should know that there are few so wise that they cannot learn ... Read Full Story
