OPML, for Outline Processor Markup Language, is an XML format for outlines. It is normally used to define lists of links, such as web pages or RSS feeds, and has become a way to exchange lists of RSS feeds between RSS aggregators.
On this portal, we'll compile a directory a interesting sites, apps, and bloggers to keep an eye on, and we'll hold a discussion on potential uses (and mis-uses) of OPML.

OPML import via Tools/Import broke my Wordpress now have no options listed after "choose a system to import from below:" just a blank page, view source shows the page just stopping at a tag, so something is deff wrong.
I had the problem after trying to import an opml file, that seemed to crap out about halfway through, I had the problem in 2.8.6 and upgraded to 2.9RC1 hoping to resolve but its still there, any suggestions?

PROBLEM SOLVED
Find the address of wp-links-opml.php this file will create an opml file of the links.
Ie http://YOURDOMAIN.com/wp-links-opml.php
Go to ‘IMPORT’ on new site, choose ‘BLOGROLL’ and enter the address of you old wp-links-opml.php file
select category- all links will import into one category, they have to be manually sorted afterwards, that's not too hard.
All mine go into a category called LINKS, which I had already created on...

Ever since I first created my Subscribed Feeds page, I’ve had clamoring for an easier way to subscribe to the entire list.
That’s a pretty brave thought, but for those of you who really want to subscribe to nearly 200 sysadmin blog feeds, I have uploaded my exported OPML file from Google Reader.
Sorry it’s taken so long, but better late than never, right?
