A bumper sticker company in Kansas has accidentally confirmed that they are printing Obama/ Bayh bumper stickers at this hour. Evidently word leaked from the factory that an order has been placed for bumper stickers that read Obama/ Bayh like the one above. As reporters started to call the plant asking to be transferred to the person in charge of the Obama/ Bayh account, they were put through to a sales person with the company who refused to talk. What does that mean? Well... not much. It does confirm that someone is printing bumper stickers to promote Barack Obama for President and Evan Bayh ... Read Full Story

Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh is at a political crossroads. Photo by Nikki Kahn of the Washington Post Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh's vote this week in favor of an amendment to the health care bill that would have strengthened restrictions on how federal funds could be spent for abortions is the latest sign that the one-time national rising star has reached a crossroads in a political career that was long expected to end in the White House. On Tuesday...

Chris Cillizza has an interesting item about how Evan Bayh's vote for the Nelson-Hatch amendment -- which would have imposed serious restrictions on taxpayer funding of abortion in the health care bill -- signals the end of his national aspirations. Bayh, who'd previously voted to ban partial-birth abortions, would now have a really tough time overcoming the objections of pro-choice activists. And he's moved right on just...

Former Congressman John Hostettler announced yesterday that he will seek the Republican nomination to challenge Sen. Evan Bayh (D-Ind.). A staunch conservative from the class of '94 who held a tough district for six terms, Hostettler will not be the party establishment's favorite. He lost his seat by a lopsided margin in 2006 and, as the linked Politico piece notes, was often a thorn in the party leadership's side. But...

One of the things we re-learned on Sunday is that Evan Bayh is a big fan of pretending that the cost of the war in Afghanistan doesn't ever need to be reckoned with, as long as we steadfastly hew to platitudes. Confronted by Fox News's Chris Wallace about the cost of simply escalating the war, and the proposal to raise revenue to pay for just this escalation, Bayh said, "I don't think it's a good idea, not at this point," adding: First of...

Sorry for the vanity post. I just phoned U.S. Senator Bayh's office to express my opposition to the so-called health care reform bill. What a coward. No one was in his office to answer the phone and his VM was full - at which point the automated system dropped my call. They're supposed to listen to us? Sure. What a feckless coward and self serving tool.
