Almeda Jean Duroux, 85, died on Dec. 19, 2009, at Carbondale, Colo. She was born in a ranch house on Hooks Spur near Basalt on June 21, 1924, to Rosina Tisseur and John Letey — immigrants from Aosta, Italy. Almeda attended Emma School and then graduated from Basalt Union High School in 1941. She married Rene Joseph Duroux on May 31, 1941, in Moab, Utah. read more
