This video was made as part of a school project. The young man in this video is portraying a much older man, named Hieb Schnieder, who has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental illness that is caused by a deficit of Serotonin.  

In this video, as Hieb talks, he does a variety of repetitive things: flicking his ear and his nose, sneezing, etc. He opens and closes drawers repetitively. He eats apples in a highly repetitive way. He goes up and down stairs in a rigid 2 steps forward one step back pattern. It may be impossible for this man to “go against the grain” of his impulses completely without chemical help.

OCD has disabled him. Most of his family has abandoned him. He tells the story of a young girl noticing his OCD behaviors in a park and kicking him in the groin. This is the kind of treatment that people who suffer OCD often get by a confused general public.
