From the looks of the polls, Barack Obama's peak is over! According to a recent poll , men and upper-income voters are jumping off the Obama bandwagon. The polls suggests that Obama's back-to-back wins over Hillary Clinton may have given him a popularity surge that has since died down. I hope so! The Ohio Primary election is today, March 4th.  All eyes are on the Democratic side of the race, with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama in a very tight race for the Democratic nomination. Final Ohio Primary Results - Clinton and McCain

McCain is now the Republican nominee.  He swept all 4 primaries yesterday and Mike Huckabee has now stepped down. On the Democratic side, here are the final details from the Ohio Primary: Hillary Clinton won with 1,207,000 votes (54%).  Barack Obama had 979,000 votes or 44%.  Clinton will get 62 delegates and Obama will get 46. Note that Obama still holds more overall delegates in the race for the nomination...but Clinton is closing the gap and she has announced that she'll stay in the race... Read Full Story

Early results are in and John McCain and Hillary Clinton have secured wins in Ohio today. McCain now has more than enough delegates to win the GOP nomination. Mike Huckabee has officially dropped out of the race. The provisional ballots have not yet been counted, as they are first subjected to a verification process. According to TCM, up to 15% of areas in Ohio are provisional ballots, and Barack Obama's campaign advisers are reported to have asked the media to delay declaring winners until the provisionals are in.
