Old Catalog Photo Scan!...1922 Royal Novelty Co. Catalog...

Hello Everybody!...

I have just uploaded a complete "camera" scan of a rare Royal Novelty Co. catalog that was issued circa 1922...We have seen this catalog offered for between $20.00 to $125. on the collector market.

Royal was based in Norwalk, Connecticut and were a mild "competitor" to the Johnson Smith & Co. novelty company, although their catalog and inventory could

in no way compare...

The catalog, though, is interesting because it's a period piece issued during the boom years of mail order novelty catalogs.

The catalog runs 32 pages and measures approx. 8" X 5".

By the way, this catalog states on page 2 that they had been in business for 23 years in Norwalk and that they were listed with Dun & Bradstreet...Also, you might notice that many of the ads address the reader as "Boys..."...giving the indication that the catalog, just like Johnson Smith's, was targeted at the adolescent youth market.
