Olympic Badminton
The badminton competition at the 2008 Summer Olympics will be held from August 9 to August 17.
Each match is played to the best of three games, and games go up to 21 points. Rally scoring is used, which means the team or person does not need to serve to score.
A player or team must win by two points, or be the first player or team to 30 points.
Badminton made its Olympic debut in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Since then, 50 different nations have competed.
